Description

The Title 1, Part C Specialist assists with planning and implementation of the Title I, Part C, and Migrant Education Program. Facilitates the Migrant Education Continuous Improvement Cycle and provides technical assistance to LEA/LOA implementation. May provide or coordinate with the Student Support Specialist to ensure services are provided to pre-school students and K-12 students in non-project schools. Plans and implements special programs and summer services.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs other related support duties as necessary. Attends and participates in state and national conferences, meetings, and work groups as assigned. This position requires extensive contact with school administrators, educators, State Migrant Education Program administrator and staff, the general public, community partners, and ADE staff.

Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in the field of education or related subject area, one year of successful preK-12 teaching or school administration experience in an approved or accredited Arkansas school.
 
PREFERRED: Experience with the Migrant Education Program; Four years of preK-12 teaching or administrative experience in the education of limited English proficiency and/or low-income students; direct involvement (e.g., committee member) in the school improvement process; experience in developing and delivering professional development; demonstrated knowledge of model academic programs for ELLs (English Language Learners) and successful parent/community involvement strategies.  Supervisory experience is preferred.
